Environmental Refugees

As climate change progresses, it may force people out of their homes.  Melting glaciers and icecaps contribute to the rising sea level.  This gradually — or perhaps not so gradually — inundates low-lying areas such as coasts, marshes, deltas, and islands.  People displaced by climate change are “environmental refugees.”
