Action Call: Support ARIVA (H.R.520)

Legislation has been proposed that would help remove old, inefficient vehicles from use and replace them with better ones.  It’s a good idea to test such methods now, because we’ll really need them when we switch from gas-powered transportation to alternative fuel(s).  We should figure out what works and what doesn’t before it becomes urgent.

The Benefits of Barter

Barter was the first economic system, in which people traded goods and services directly.  Cash took over because it’s more convenient; you can exchange it for anything, and everyone wants it.  However, cash only outcompetes barter if a majority of people have enough cash to meet their needs.  With barter, as long as you have skills and/or goods, you never go broke!
